# Core Principles

Core Principles 📜

<figure><img src="https://1601121283-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQMndqba1myXTUYXQlZqx%2Fuploads%2FyOLg0LTkUURPEs8OpBSA%2FSKYDR.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=677d41cb-35da-4d12-9e19-490f12d79020" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Liquidity Incentive Challenges**&#x20;

The DeFi sector has expanded significantly through liquidity mining and UNI V2-supported DEXs. But current liquidity rewards often end up in low-utilization pools. We target a more balanced distribution with our gauge voting approach, directing rewards to higher fee-producing pools. This strategy bridges the interests of token owners and liquidity suppliers, tackling the prevalent inefficiencies and enhancing revenue opportunities.

**Static Rewards Issue**&#x20;

Liquidity mining, with its token rewards, has propelled DeFi's growth, driving actions like liquidity provision. While DEX groups concentrate on boosting revenue by refining rewards for high fee-yielding pools, it creates obstacles for emerging protocols with restricted volume. This system builds entry barriers, hindering broader participation.

**Our Gauge Voting Mechanism**&#x20;

Within the Skydrome ecosystem, incentive directions follow gauge weight votes, echoing Curve Finance's "vote-escrowed" framework. Weekly, veSKY token possessors decide on emission amounts during epochs. As epochs approach completion, emission shares mirror the consensus of the votes. Skydrome's Gauge Weight Voting system, combined with the Bribing Marketplace, enables protocols and token initiatives to offer incentives for veSKY votes, guiding gauge results. At an epoch's close, those backing a gauge savor the benefits of their selected route.

**Understanding Solidly**&#x20;

Introduced by the brilliant Andre Cronje on Fantom, Solidly is a mesmerizing automated market maker (AMM) and liquidity platform. It offers affordable transactions with minimal slippage for both closely and distantly related tokens. Solidly diverges from traditional AMMs, focusing on fee generation and a harmonized liquidity reward strategy. Addressing primary AMM challenges, it delivers consistent fee allocation, appealing liquidity mining, and efficient bootstrapping, while emphasizing amplified rewards, enticing incentives, and the potency of vote-escrowed tokens, without compromising features like the flash loan-resistant TWAP.

**Evolutions in Skydrome**&#x20;

Skydrome has overhauled the foundations of Solidly and Velodrome, guaranteeing the protocol operates flawlessly. This refinement allows for the compensation of liquidity providers against transient losses, synchronizing with the primary goal of enhancing fee production. Though Solidly faced significant barriers within the Fantom network, Skydrome has undertaken several enhancements:

* Adjusted the emission timetable
* Refined token economics
* Improved the preliminary allocation
* Partnered with a comprehensive set of launch allies
* A devoted team persistently fine-tuning the system

# Protocol Overview

Liquidity serves as the lifeblood for the seamless operation of blockchain-based assets. Several strategies have emerged to ensure robust liquidity provisioning:

1. **Yield Farming and Secondary Pool Emissions:** By allocating rewards to staked LPs, these structures motivate participants to supply liquidity, allowing them to accrue additional tokens as compensation.
2. **Protocol-Owned Liquidity:** Some protoocls retain a subset of their tokens in liquidity pools. This proactive approach fortifies the ecosystem, ensuring consistent liquidity and reducing volatility.
3. **Governance Engagement via Token Bribes and Voting:** Tokens endowed with voting privileges can be further incentivized with offers of alternate tokens. This strategy spurs active participation in governance, as holders are incentivized to sway voting outcomes through tangible rewards.

**Introducing Skydrome**

Skydrome is a DeFi protocol designed to assist projects in meeting their liquidity requirements in a compelling manner.&#x20;

Drawing inspiration from Velodrome, Skydrome is erected upon the foundational architecture of Solidly. Its aim is to guarantee equitable rewards for liquidity providers, factoring in the challenges of impermanent loss. The prototype Solidly platform encountered multiple obstacles which stymied its widespread adoption within the Fantom landscape.&#x20;

Addressing these gaps, Skydrome has introduced a series of enhancements to the Solidly foundation. Each modification was meticulously selected to ensure the protocol's commitment to the core principle: enabling voters to equitably recompense LPs for impermanent losses.&#x20;

It's crucial to note the fundamental barriers that curtailed Solidly's momentum within the Fantom ecosystem.

# Understanding the ve(3,3) Mechanics

Skydrome integrates the intricate ve(3,3) structure, which fuses two pivotal DeFi paradigms: The Vote-Escrow system, inspired by Curve, fosters prolonged token retention, while the Staking/Rebasing/Bonding concept, or the (3,3) game theory, traces its origins back to Olympus DAO.&#x20;

Within Skydrome, the ve(3,3) framework functions as an incentivization module, rewarding endeavors that bolster the platform's stature, such as liquidity contribution and sustained token holding. Those supplying liquidity are rewarded with emissions, while veSKY proprietors benefit from protocol charges, inducements, rebases, and a voice in governance. This avant-garde strategy paves the way for a vibrant, participant-centric ecosystem.

<figure><img src="https://1601121283-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQMndqba1myXTUYXQlZqx%2Fuploads%2FBpP2jgJurEqMDcRSAoOh%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=6901604e-9962-4609-aa0c-8e38f3e52dbb" alt=""><figcaption><p>Explanation of the roles of the various stakeholders</p></figcaption></figure>

***Key Features of Ve(3,3)***

**Adaptive Emission Rate**&#x20;

Skydrome's token distribution pace is not rigid; it's designed for weekly recalibrations, determined by the rate of circulating supply. A guaranteed decrement of at least 1% from the previous week's emissions ensures a deliberate and enduring token distribution trajectory.

**Empowering Token Affiliates**&#x20;

Distinctively, Skydrome's ve(3,3) mechanism accentuates fee rewards, rather than an exclusive emphasis on liquidity supply. This innovative design harmonizes the aspirations of both token stakeholders and liquidity contributors. When participants commit their assets, they stand to gain the entirety of fees generated by their endorsed pools. Such a model grants pools the leeway to propose elevated fees, thereby fostering a resilient and profit-centric sharing blueprint for the entire community.

**Token Locks Transition to NFTs**&#x20;

Within Skydrome, the act of locking tokens is more than a mere commitment; it's a tradable asset. This token lock is transformed into a tokenized form, allowing a single entity to maintain various lock positions. The cumulative balances of these positions factor into the overarching veSKY balance. This characteristic paves the way for locks to be traded in secondary marketplaces and even be leveraged as collateral in prospective lending arenas.

By transmuting these locks into Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Skydrome addresses the potential inefficiencies of locked capital. This transition assuages apprehensions about looming liquidity demands. In essence, Skydrome's "NFTization" of veSKY offers an elegant response to the liquidity conundrum inherent to voting escrow tokens.

# Extended Emission Decay

Within the Solidly framework, protocol emissions diminished rapidly, leading to minimal incentives for late entrants.

It's clear that early participants deserve accolades for their foundational risks. However, the brisk emission reduction in Solidly's design stood out as a drawback. With this in mind, we've implemented changes to both honor initial participants and cater to subsequent entrants.

Our refined approach includes:

* Adjusting the emissions growth function to:&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://1601121283-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQMndqba1myXTUYXQlZqx%2Fuploads%2FOYrPQ382KMaWNCQ42FFr%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=d092a5ab-13d9-4e7b-aef1-cde630b4a344" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Discontinuing negative voting, given its overtly adversarial nature.
* Foregoing the LP emissions "boost" that was previously exclusive to voters. This enhancement ensures that these emissions are equitably distributed among all LPs. Regardless of veNFT ownership status, the revision empowers voters to effectively attract external liquidity

# Aligning Rewards with Emissions

**In Solidly, voting rewards (i.e. bribes) were claimable before the emissions from that vote were committed.** Velodrome addresses this with new mechanisms:

* First, we allow voters to make only one "active" voting decision (i.e. `Voter.vote()`, `Voter.reset()`) every epoch (note: this does not include the `Voter.poke()` function).
* Additionally, bribes from fees (internal) and external sources (external) are treated differently. Internal bribes function more or less the same way as they did in Solidly, streamed to voters who vote for them. External bribes, however, are rewarded per epoch rather than streamed, and are claimable only after the next epoch starts. This means that a bribe sent at the last minute of an epoch will accrue to all voters of that epoch, and be claimable once the epoch flips

These modifications aim to strike a harmonious balance between voters and external actors  offering bribes. By introducing these tweaks, we motivate bribers to present their incentives early in the week, luring initial voters.&#x20;

However, there's also a silver lining in delaying bribes, as this provides deeper insights into rival incentives. Similarly, voters grapple with a timing conundrum. Casting votes prematurely might mean missing out on enticing bribes unveiled later. Conversely, delayed voting might result in a diminished veSKY balance influence. It's worth highlighting that this latter impact is more accentuated for those who commit for shorter durations. For instance, those locked in for mere weeks as opposed to months or years might discern stark disparities in the incentives they accrue, based on whether they vote earlier or later in the epoch.

# SKY Gauges

**Understanding Gauges**&#x20;

In Skydrome, gauges function as instrumental tools that monitor the voting inclinations of veSKY holders. These gauges are crucial for the equitable distribution of emissions and incentives across liquidity pools, influenced by the vote counts.&#x20;

By promoting equitable distribution, gauges foster heightened engagement within the Skydrome framework. To activate gauges, tokens must be whitelisted. Collaborative entities can benefit from specialized gauges for tokens in their networks, pending individual token assessments.&#x20;

Moreover, the Skydrome management retains the autonomy to inaugurate gauges for foundational tokens like wETH and wBTC, amplifying the platform's competency and utility.

**Skydrome Partners**&#x20;

At our inception phase, we have already incorporated our esteemed partners by whitelisting them, ensuring they are ingrained within our platform. We've also set aside veSKY specifically for forthcoming partner protocols. The terms of accessing these veSKY will be brokered through dialogue with potential partners, delineating explicit prerequisites.

For a glimpse into potential partnership conditions, they might encompass:

* Mandate to incentivize select gauges, be it their proprietary ones or our core gauges.
* Token exchange initiatives to foster deeper ties.
* Integration drives to champion seamless compatibility.
* Coordinated promotional endeavors to amplify outreach and progression.

These stipulations will be bespoke, shaped through one-on-one project deliberations, synchronizing our mutual ambitions, and amplifying reciprocal gains. In unison, we are poised to sculpt a robust and prosperous network.

# Liquidity Pools

<figure><img src="https://1601121283-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQMndqba1myXTUYXQlZqx%2Fuploads%2FggvlaryjNgRXDUHTJlrD%2Fskyyimage_2023-09-28_22-57-02.png?alt=media&amp;token=265c4b46-6f56-40d0-8cec-6c1a4cd5e27d" alt=""><figcaption><p>Skydrome Swap Interface</p></figcaption></figure>

At its essence, Skydrome empowers users to exchange digital assets securely, benefiting from minimal fees and reduced slippage. Slippage refers to the gap between an asset's prevailing market value and the rate at which the trade materializes. Such discrepancies might lead to either a slightly higher cost (yielding fewer tokens) or a lesser cost (yielding more tokens) from a transaction. For optimal market rates, we've categorized assets into:

* Correlated assets - think of stable coins like $USDC, $USDT, and so on.
* Uncorrelated assets - such as $ETH and $SKY.

Skydrome presents two tailored liquidity pools to cater to specific token pairing requirements: Stable Pools and Variable Pools. Our protocol's routing mechanism assesses both pool categories to pinpoint the most cost-effective quotation and trading pathway. To safeguard against abrupt flashloan breaches, the router employs 30-minute TWAPs (time-weighted average prices). Furthermore, this router is self-reliant, needing no external intervention. A pool's liquidity depth (or higher value secured) is inversely proportional to its slippage, meaning deeper liquidity leads to lower slippage.

# Fees

Within Skydrome, trading fees are retained in the original tokens used for the transaction (for instance, if you exchange $USDC and $SKY, the fees will be in these exact tokens). Both Variable and Stable liquidity pools on Skydrome have distinct trading fee structures. The current configurations are:

* Stable liquidity pools: 0.02%
* Variable liquidity pools: 0.25%

# Stable Pools

Stable pools are tailored for assets exhibiting minimal volatility. The pricing formula employed ensures reduced slippage, even when dealing with substantial trading volumes. The equation representing this is:&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://1601121283-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQMndqba1myXTUYXQlZqx%2Fuploads%2FtgpQpHqVcpI5d7zY4P4X%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=93da3443-0eea-4f08-a77a-362b0d39b64c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Variable Pools

Interact with Testnet and Get Skydrome Testnet Badge!

Variable pools cater to assets characterized by pronounced price fluctuations. These pools rely on a standard AMM formula:

<figure><img src="https://1601121283-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQMndqba1myXTUYXQlZqx%2Fuploads%2FSaPxKvq3anAlLhYhK51m%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=7214c22f-61d0-43d2-a835-7195589bddd8" alt=""><figcaption><p>Standard AMM Formula</p></figcaption></figure>

# Tokenomics and Emissions

The initial supply of `$SKY` is 100M.

Out of this, the initial circulating supply will be 28.16M ($1.88M), with the remaining amount locked or vested.

<figure><img src="https://1601121283-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQMndqba1myXTUYXQlZqx%2Fuploads%2FFZ91MxN19RuPK7jyb4dG%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=a45fb431-db6b-4607-a3e0-91501ad689a6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Note:** Any unsold tokens from the IDO/Token Sale Allocation will be used for ongoing protocol development or future fundraising efforts

The token distribution will be structured as the following:

## $SKY (Initial Circulating Supply) <a href="#id-78dc" id="id-78dc"></a>

* **11.66M** for the token sale unlocked immediately (11.66%)
* **7M** for POL — Protocol Owned Liquidity (i.e. for ETH/SKY pools) (7%)
* **9M** for the Development and Marketing Fund. The other half of the fund is linear vested.
* **0.5M** for the Ecosystem Rewards. The other part of the rewards are linear vested (0.5%)

## $SKY (Locked Supply) <a href="#e324" id="e324"></a>

* **9M** for the Development and Marketing Fund (9%) with a 2-year linear vesting period
* **6M** for the Skydrome team (6%) 12-months cliff with a 4-year linear vesting period
* **3M** for the pre-mining (3%) with a 1 month lockup (Starting from one week after the end of the presale)
* **4.5M** for the Ecosystem Rewards. Those funds are linear vested of a time-frame of 2 years (4.5%)

## $veSKY (Locked as veSKY NFTs) <a href="#id-17f4" id="id-17f4"></a>

***Note:** Locked for 2 years in $veSKY of various sizes.*

* **33.33M** for the Ecosystem Fund and Initial Liquidity Incentives (33.33%) — For activities boosting the Skydrome Ecosytem for example for for partner protocols / communities or directing emissions to selected pools, etc.
* **16M** for the DAO Treasury (16%)

## Utilities <a href="#id-3a8d" id="id-3a8d"></a>

Skydrome utilizes two tokens for managing its utility and governance:

* **`$SKY`** — ERC-20 utility token of the protocol
* **`$veSKY`** — ERC-721 governance token in the form of an NFT (non-fungible token)

`$SKY` is used for rewarding liquidity providers through emissions.

`$veSKY` is used for governance. Any $SKY holder can vote-escrow their tokens and receive a `$veSKY` (also known as veNFT) in exchange. Additional tokens can be added to the `$veSKY` NFT at any time.

The lock period (also referred to as the vote-escrowed period, hence the ve prefix) can be up to 4 years, following the linear relationship shown below:

* 100 `$SKY` locked for 4 years will become 100 `$veSKY`
* 100 `$SKY` locked for 1 year will become 25 `$veSKY`

The longer the vesting time, the higher the voting power (voting weight) and rewards the `$veSKY` holder receives.\
\
**Note:** Any unsold tokens from the IDO/Token Sale Allocation will be used for ongoing protocol development or future fundraising efforts.

## ve(3,3) Mechanics <a href="#beb1" id="beb1"></a>

Skydrome mechanics incorporate a blend of two DeFi concepts:

* **Vote-Escrow** — first introduced by Curve to bolster incentives for long-term token holders
* **Staking/Rebasing/Bonding or (3,3) game theory** — designed by Olympus DAO

Combined, the *ve(3,3)* mechanism rewards behaviors correlated with Skydrome’s success, such as liquidity provision and long-term token holding. Liquidity providers receive `$SKY` emissions, and `$veSKY` holders receive protocol fees, bribes, rebases, and governance power.

## Emissions

* Weekly emissions start at 1M `$SKY` (1% of the initial supply) and decay at 1% per week (epoch).
* `$veSKY` holders receive a rebase proportional to epoch LP emissions and the ratio of `$veSKY` to `$SKY` supply, thus reducing vote power dilution for `$veSKY`!
* Rebase for $veSKY Holders: $veSKY holders get a rebase that's proportional to epoch LP emissions and the ratio of $veSKY to $SKY supply. This minimizes vote power dilution for $veSKY holders.
* Rebase Calculation Formula:&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://1601121283-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQMndqba1myXTUYXQlZqx%2Fuploads%2Fm6lUjo0jiSfsBoClXJDG%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=a97ff9cd-c655-44af-b3af-5a13ec8129f1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Note: The supply of $veSKY doesn't impact the weekly LP emissions.
* Note: The emissions and individual parameters, such as min/max emissions, team rate, decay, etc., are variable and will be adjusted by protocol parameter optimization every week. The formulas and schedules in this documentation indicate only the planned release and are subject to change on a weekly basis.

### Projected Emission Schedule

<figure><img src="https://1601121283-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FQMndqba1myXTUYXQlZqx%2Fuploads%2FIiabvID9MTC1Vx7W8y6Q%2FEmission%20Schedule.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=3ef33c59-c764-448c-8f0e-303742a43826" alt=""><figcaption><p>SKY Emissions</p></figcaption></figure>

## Gauge Voting

Holders of $veSKY get to determine which liquidity pools are granted emissions during a specific epoch by casting votes on their favored liquidity pool gauges. $SKY emissions will be apportioned based on the total votes a liquidity pool secures. In reciprocation, voters are awarded 100% of the trading fees and incentives amassed through the liquidity pool they advocate for.

## Whitelisting

While Skydrome encourages permissionless liquidity pools, gauge formation is exclusive to whitelisted tokens. A segment of the partner integration process involves token whitelisting where necessary. Partners have the liberty to propose added tokens for whitelisting.

## Disclaimer

The token distribution and token supply, as outlined in the Documentation, are indicative only and may be subject to reasonable adjustments based on further determinations. # Protocol Revenue

An important aspect of any initiative is ensuring its financial sustainability. Skydrome has invested considerable thought into guaranteeing that both the team and the community have a steady revenue stream.

**Swap Fees**

Trading fees generated from liquidity pools that don't have associated gauges will be directed to the tank. Once a gauge is established for a specific pool, this process is deactivated. The accumulated fees will be utilized at the team's discretion for varied purposes, such as $SKY buybacks and burns, incentivizing core pools, covering development expenses, and more.

**Protocol Owned Liquidity**

Through the inaugural liquidity-providing $SKY pool, Skydrome doesn't accrue any revenue. There will be no emissions from this pool, and upon fulfilling its intended purpose, the tokens will be terminated.

**Team Emissions**

4% of all emissions are channeled to the treasury. These $SKY tokens will serve multiple purposes as deemed appropriate by the team. This includes activities like incentivizing primary pools, financing developments, and bolstering team member voting influence, among others.

**Team Voting**

Every team member possesses their distinct $veSKY, empowering them to cast votes based on their preferences. This mechanism allows them to potentially carve out their personalized revenue source.

# $SKY Gauges

As outlined in the protocol overview, to activate a gauge, a token must be whitelisted. Partners will have distinct gauges for the tokens within their ecosystems, determined on a token-by-token basis. Additionally, gauges for certain "core" tokens might be established at the team's discretion.

**Fees and Gauge-Less LP Fees**

Trading fees derived from LPs without gauges are directed to the treasury. Skydrome identified this as an optimal strategy, noting that certain projects could establish trading pairs, bypass the gauge application process, and derive benefits from the protocol without contributing in return. After the creation of a gauge, all subsequent fees are used as incentives for voters. Hence, it's advisable for projects to adhere to the aforementioned guidelines.

# $veSKY Voting

Only $SKY that's locked as veSKY can be used for voting. New epochs commence on Thursdays at 00:00 UTC. It's advisable to vote prior to this. Although waiting might enable you to observe incoming bribes, voting early ensures timely submission.

**Restrictions**

When voting, keep the following constraints in mind:

* If your wallet contains multiple $veSKY NFTs, each must be selected individually.
* Votes can only be cast ONCE per epoch. Ensure you allocate your full voting power and finalize your choices before voting. Once cast, votes cannot be modified for that epoch.

**Rewards**

Voting carries various benefits:

* It directs $SKY token incentives. Prioritize this when casting your vote.
* Voting for a pool entitles you to a proportionate share of the pool's trading fees (only applies to LPs staked to receive $SKY rewards).
* Voting for a pool earns you a proportionate share of all the bribes contributed to the pool by third parties. Bribes can be added at any point within an epoch. Votes are snapshotted at around 23:59 UTC every Wednesday, with bribe rewards accessible 24-48 hours post the commencement of the new epoch.
* Weekly voting is mandatory to qualify for bribes. This action incurs gas fees. Failure to vote weekly means you'll continue directing $SKY to the gauge but won't receive a share of the bribes.

**Reset to Transfer**

$veSKY holders wishing to transfer or sell their NFTs should understand that they must first reset their NFT, effectively casting a vote for NO gauges in the current epoch. This results in the forfeiture of trading fees and bribes. Those receiving the NFT should note that they won't be able to vote until the subsequent epoch. This mechanism rewards consistent voting.

**Voting APR**

On the user interface, there's a column displaying the voting APR. This metric is calculated as follows &#x20;

> voting APR = (TVB / TV) \* weeks / `$SKY` price \* 100%

Where:

* weeks = 52.179 (approximate number of weeks in a year)
* TVB = total value of bribes in USD
* TV = total vote count

# Security Overview

## Skydrome Audits&#x20;

To ensure increased safety for our users, we have conducted an additional audit with **DefiMoon** and **SolidProof** to ensure that all contracts are safe. You can check the audit on our GitHub:

1. Defimoon \
   <https://github.com/SkyDromeFinance/audits/blob/main/audits/Skydrome_Defimoon.pdf.>
2. SolidProof <https://github.com/SkyDromeFinance/audits/blob/main/audits/SmartContract_Audit_Solidproof_Skydrome.pdf>

Additionally we have uploaded previous audits on our Github: <https://github.com/SkyDromeFinance/audits/tree/main/audits>

#### Context <a href="#audits" id="audits"></a>

Skydrome is a fork of [Velocimeter ](https://velocimeter.xyz)which was adapted from Solidly, whose [codebase](https://github.com/velodrome-finance/v1) was open-sourced in full by Andre Cronje and his team in March 2022. Since its release, no security incidents related to Solidly or Velociemter Smart contracts were reported. Before moving forward, we'd like to remind our users that security audits do not eliminate risks completely and that every user should read and agree to our legal disclaimer before using Skydrome! For security reports, please reach out to us on Discord, or to the contacts provided on our GitHub page.

#### Audits <a href="#audits" id="audits"></a>

Solidly went through a partial (only the AMM part was sent for audit) security audit on January 30, 2022. The audit was done by PeckShield and did reveal 5 low-severity and 1 informal finding.

The full audit is available for download from the Velodrome git [repository](https://github.com/velodrome-finance/v1/tree/master/audits).

[Peckshield Solidly Audit](https://github.com/peckshield/publications/blob/master/audit_reports/PeckShield-Audit-Report-Solidly-v1.0.pdf)

Velocimeter was adapted from the Velodrome codebase, which is directly derived from the Solidly smart contracts that have been open-sourced in March 2022.\
\
The AMM part of Solidly has been audited by PeckShield that revealed 5 low-severity and 1 informal finding. There have been no security-related incidents involving Solidly smart contracts since their deployment on Fantom in February 2022.

The Velodrome codebase went through a security audit and a peer review as part of a Code4rena bug bounty contest. All high or medium-risk issues were either resolved pre-deployment, except for one known issue (users can claim eligible rewards from ExternalBribe contracts more than once) that has been addressed via a wrapped contract solution.

* **Removal of Internal Fees** The fees are now directed as external bribes so the need for many contracts became redundant, ie pairFees.sol, internalBribe.s[
  ](<https://github.com/SkyDromeFinance/audits/blob/main/audits/Skydrome_Defimoon.pdf.&#xD;&#xA;>)

#### Difference from Velocimeter and Velodrome <a href="#bug-bounty-programs" id="bug-bounty-programs"></a>

* ***Use trading fees as external bribes.*** In contrast to Velodrome, Velocimeter takes the trading fees of liquidity pools with gauges and sends them as external bribes for that respective pool. `USDC` and `FLOW` trading fees directly bribe upcoming voters to direct their votes to the `USDC:FLOW` pool. Velocimeter believes this creates a much better voting experience as voters clearly can see what they will get, rather than wait to see what trading fees they happen to accumulate in the week following their vote.
* ***Trading fees without gauges.*** With pairs that don't have a gauge, or have a gauge what was "killed", the trading fees are sent to the [tank(opens in a new tab)](https://tuber.build/address/0x0A868fd1523a1ef58Db1F2D135219F0e30CBf7FB/tokens#address-tabs).

**Velodrome Security Procedures**

The Code4rena contest results were released on August 8, 2022 and are available [here](https://code4rena.com/reports/2022-05-Velocimeter/). All high- or medium-risk issues were either resolved pre-deploy, except for one known issue (users can claim eligible rewards from ExternalBribe contracts more than once) that's currently being addressed (via a wrapped contract solution). No user funds are at risk from this vulnerability, and protocols who wish to deposit external bribes should get in contact with the core team to discuss alternative solutions. More information about our C4 contest can be found [here](https://docs.velocimeter.xyz/c4report).

#### Bug Bounty Programs <a href="#bug-bounty-programs" id="bug-bounty-programs"></a>

Velodrome ran a bug bounty [contest](https://code4rena.com/contests/2022-05-Velocimeter-finance-contest) from the 23rd to the 30th of May 2022 with awards up to $75,000 on Code4rena. The main scope of the contest was to cover all the new changes to the new and the original contracts.Solidly's bug bounty program was launched in February 2022 on Immunefi.com. There were no claims for any of the $200,000 rewards ([on their Github](https://github.com/solidlyexchange/solidly/blob/master/SECURITY.md)).
